Overtime pay calculator
Work out pay for overtime, night work and public holidays under the Estonian Employment Contracts Act: 1.5×, 1.25× and 2× wages.
The Employment Contracts Act sets higher pay for work in special conditions:
- Overtime is by default compensated with time off equal to the overtime; if compensated in money by agreement, 1.5× wages are paid.
- Night work (22:00–06:00) is paid at 1.25×, unless it has been agreed that the salary already includes night work pay.
- Work on a public holiday is paid at 2×.
With a monthly salary the calculator derives the hourly rate by dividing the salary by the monthly working hours (about 168 h full-time). Results are gross – use the salary calculator for the net amount.
