Lawn seeding calculator

Seed amount = area × seeding rate. A new lawn needs about 30–40 g/m², overseeding an existing lawn 15–20 g/m². Add starter fertilizer (high in phosphorus) at about 35 g/m². The exact rate is on the seed bag; shadier or sandier ground needs more.
